For the assessment of ADHD in adults, the clinical interview includes a detailed inquiry into the current status and history of ADHD symptoms, psychiatric comorbidities and, of course, a treatment history that is any specific therapy or medications that were received in addition to educational, occupational and medical history to ascertain any sort of impairments. The assessment should include reports from other informants such as parents, spouse, significant other or friends.
