Lithium lithium lithium. It has a solid and influential history in psychiatry. We think of lithium for bipolar disorder and as an anti-suicide agent but have we really thought about lithium in the context of dementia?
Well, I have a paper here, released in April 2019...which is like, totally last year, published in the British Journal of Psychiatry that explored the use of low dose lithium to PREVENT dementia. Cool, right?
