Biography

Dr. Jessica Diaz is a bilingual psychiatrist originally from Venezuela but who now lives in Mendoza, Argentina. She specialized in cognitive-behavioral therapy and pregnancy and women’s psychiatric issues, working in these areas for many years.

In her native country, she was an ad-honorem professor for psychiatry residents at a local university in the area of cognitive-behavioral therapy, as well as being a consultant for colleagues and residents regarding pregnancy and women’s psychiatric issues.

In the year 2002, she added a deeper interest in psychopharmacology, when she was appointed for the Board of Directors at the Venezuelan College of Neuropsychopharmacology, a non-profit organization that aims to transmit psychopharmacology information to mental health clinicians through congresses, books, and journals.

She brought all her experience as a medical writer, teacher, speaker, and clinician to the Psychopharmacology Institute in 2018, where she is now an assistant editor.

She still has a keen interest in making psychopharmacology information available to busy clinicians, in a way that makes it easy for them to digest. As such, her detail-oriented work with other team members ensures accurate and up-to-date knowledge her colleagues can rely on.
