Wegdan Rashad, M.D.

Biography

Wegdan Rashad is an assistant editor at Psychopharmacology Institute and an early-career psychiatrist. She is passionate about education and believes that learning can be fun and applicable, even in a relatively complex field as psychopharmacology. Currently, she is the host of the Psychopharmacology Institute Podcast and she enjoys the challenge of producing bite-sized and enjoyable content for mental health clinicians to use in their practice. The podcast is broadcast every two weeks posing a new clinical topic and a clinical case, which listeners actively engage with.

During her medical training, she was actively engaged in teaching and mentoring activities as well as public speaking; she was featured in a TEDMED talk in 2012 and was hosted in an episode of the American Journal of Psychiatry Residents’ Podcast in 2016. Wegdan is also an active part of the medical storyboarding team. She particularly enjoys the creative aspects of her work as well as communicating with faculty.
