Lizzie Samuels is a psychiatric nurse practitioner who graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She is based in Houston, where she works in community mental health, serving individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Her clinical practice emphasizes thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for individuals with complex needs across diverse backgrounds. She is especially committed to working with patients who face significant barriers to accessing care.
Early in her clinical practice, Lizzie discovered the Psychopharmacology Institute and has come to rely on its clear, evidence-based guidance to support her work in community mental health. She has joined the team as an Expert Consultation Host alongside her longtime friend and former nursing school classmate, Helen Tellegen.
