Greetings. My name is Dr. Simon Kung. I’m an associate professor of Psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Today, I’d like to share my knowledge with you about Psychiatric Pharmacogenomics. This is an area that’s of interest to me both clinically and for research.

My outline is first, what is pharmacogenomics? And I’ll go through the definition. I’ll talk about the cytochrome P450 polymorphisms, the application to Psychiatry, the evidence that exist to support the use of this and what we do in clinical practice and then a summary.
