In Australia, the National Health and Medical Research Council is the main authority on health-related research. Under its auspices, their Gaps in Guidelines group looks for conditions in which routine clinical practice does not fully align with evidence-based recommendations. The group’s recent publication, called Guidelines for Management of Psychosis in the Context of Mood Disorders , addresses 5 types of mood-related psychoses—namely unipolar, mixed, bipolar, postpartum, and schizoaffective.
